Charlie was the perfect mix of chill and positive energy. I’ve known Charlie ever since I was born. The best times were always when we were outside. The most memorable moment I can remember was in late November. I asked him if he wanted to skateboard in Pittsburgh. That day we went everywhere that he went when he was a kid. We went downtown, north side, south side, Main Street. Then as we were driving he made a stop through we’re he and his friends used to live, and the places they used to hangout and play at. After that we were going to eat when it started raining. While we are we talked about how I was doing in school and in hockey. After that we went outside as it was raining we got in the truck and he said, ”Do you still want to go to Bellevue skatepark?” I said ya and when we got there it had stopped raining but the park was soaked there wasn’t much to do, but he made it so much fun. We would laugh when each other fell in puddles and cheer when we landed something knew. Then we ate lunch came back and it was dry. I decided to do a trick on a big rail it took me hours then chuck came down to help and within minutes I landed it. When we left I was so happy, and then he looked at me and said “ That’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time.” I will always remember when he said that. To the rest of Charlie’s family, I’m sorry for your loss.

He helped me understand to spend the most time you can with those you love

He helped me to understand that you need to treasure the times with the people that love you because they can be taken away in an instant.
